As a Mortgage Broker i work with plenty of home builders and see varying degrees of craftsmanship. Recently I worked with Michael James Custom Builders to provide the financing for a new home they built.
Every step of the way, Loren one of their Directors was super responsive, collaborative and professional. She was always one step ahead of what we needed and was able to facilitate a super smooth transaction and ON TIME! We held the settlement in the new home and WOW, the finished product was so meticulously designed and the materials used were clearly top notch!

Well done Loren and Michael James Custom Builders!

Michael James Custom Builders is truly one of kind. From the first phone call to the last day on the job, every team member was professional and meticulous. After meeting with three different contractors, we were referred to Michael James Custom Builders. Within days John, the lead project manager, came to our home. He was the first contractor to come into our home, listen to us and ask us what our wants and needs were. He was creative, patient, thoughtful and knowledgeable at designing, especially with limited space. The Michael James Team has a true talent for design and functionality.

We needed more storage in our kitchen, a coffee station and a space for family meals. Our expectations were beyond exceeded! From the custom cabinetry/coffee station, to the custom breakfast nook and table; it is better than we could have ever imagined and far better than any pintrest inspo pic I scoured for. Each piece was measured and built to perfection with such precision/craftsmanship.

With each step and decision, we received expert advice and guidance right down to the paint color.

Throughout our project the Michael James Team was so helpful and in constant communication. Michael and John are phenomenal at what they do. It is evident they are passionate and determined to deliver the best. Every Michael James team member who entered our home was respectful, considerate and beyond talented.

If you want professionalism, timeliness, superior service and knowledge, then Michael James Custom Builders is your team! I strongly recommend them, they will not disappoint!

We recently hired Michael James Custom Builders, LLC for a carpentry project to replace all doors, stairs, railing, trim and add custom woodwork in our home, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results!

From start to finish, the communication was exceptional—Project Manager, John kept us in the loop every step of the way, answering questions promptly and addressing any concerns we had. He also pointed out things that they were working on that we didn't even notice.

Although the project ended up going slightly over budget, the quality of the work MORE than made up for it. The craftsmanship exceeded our expectations, and the carpentry, new stairs and rails look absolutely beautiful! The attention to detail is evident, and it’s clear that they take great pride in their work.

I highly recommend Michael James Custom Builders, LLC to anyone looking for reliable, skilled, and communicative contractors. It was an absolute pleasure working with them, and we wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again for future projects.

Michael James Custom Builders did an amazing Job! We recently worked Michael and his team to do a massive total home renovation. The job entailed nearly full demolition of a 30 year old home, adding new basement, first and second floor additions, and complete gut with re-finishing of all existing space. His team was efficient, courteous, responsive, and ultimately did a fantastic job. They got us in our new home on time and in our budget. Since the completion of the project Michael and his team have remained in touch and recently came back to check on final details. I highly recommend this team for jobs of all size and scope, including new construction and major renovations.

They are very detail oriented and know what they’re doing. Hire them for your next project, and I guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed. We are in LOVE with our basement and will be working with them on our next project (bar) very soon.

I couldn’t be happier with the work MJB did on my home! They installed a new slider door and side patio door for us , and the results are absolutely stunning. From start to finish, their team was professional, detail-oriented, and dedicated to quality craftsmanship. They showed up on time, communicated clearly throughout the process, and made sure everything was installed perfectly. The doors look amazing and function flawlessly. If you’re looking for top-notch work and great customer service, I highly recommend Michael James Builders. Thank you for a job well done!
